rain on my day off

For once, that’s a good thing!  I am going to the James River Writer’s Festival today and tomorrow.  I love to hang out and listen to people who are passionate about writing.  It is interesting to note that you never hear writers talk about grammar or punctuation or correctness!  People talk about how to make time in your life to write, how to write convincing dialogue and memorable characters, how to sell your writing, what’s new and hot in the publishing world, etc.  For a small city, this is an amazing event.  Look at the program on the site. Cheryl Pallant is leading a session.  She teaches at UR and is an accomplished poet.  I think Brian Henry is doing something too. Stay tuned for details…
